Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) is a gentle, mild amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil, commonly used as a foam booster, cleanser, and conditioning agent in personal care formulations. It enhances the mildness of cleansers, making it ideal for shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, baby products, and sulfate-free formulations. CAPB also acts as a co-surfactant, helping to reduce irritation and improve viscosity in cleansing products while providing a rich, stable lather.

Formulation Guidelines:

• Best added to the water phase of formulations.
• Works well in combination with anionic surfactants like Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) or Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) for enhanced cleansing.
• Avoid using at high pH (>7.0) to prevent degradation.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
