Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is a gentle, sulfate-free, and biodegradable surfactant derived from coconut oil. It produces a rich, creamy lather while effectively cleansing the skin and hair without stripping moisture. SCI is widely used in solid and liquid cleansing formulations, such as shampoo bars, facial cleansers, body washes, syndet bars, and bath foams. It is known for being mild on the skin and scalp, making it ideal for sensitive formulations.

Formulation Guidelines:

• Best melted into the surfactant phase for liquid formulations.
• For solid formulations (bars), blend with other surfactants, binders, or oils before molding.
• Suitable for syndet bars, shampoo bars, face cleansers, body washes, and shaving foams.
• Works well with Cocamidopropyl Betaine for enhanced foaming and mildness.
• Avoid direct heating above 70°C (158°F) to prevent degradation.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture to prevent clumping.
